20% capacity boost with SensorX Xpress

New X-ray image-processing algorithm keeps pace with high-speed lines

Seeing first-hand how fast poultry lines are running today, inspection performance matters more than ever. SensorX Xpress, the new advanced X-ray image-processing algorithm, enables a capacity boost of 20% while maintaining the accuracy customers expect. Xpress software is perfectly suited for today’s high-speed processing operations.

Over the past two decades, processors have prioritized removing residual bones from deboned products. To address this challenge, JBT Marel launched SensorX in 2007, the first machine capable of reliably detecting and rejecting bonecontaminated products. Ever since, continuous improvements have reinforced SensorX’s reputation as the original and ongoing industry standard for bone detection and elimination. Recent advancements include SmartBase, Infeed Monitoring, and Adaptive Bone Detection, featuring an upgraded X-ray sensor. This time, it’s about a capacity increase.

Accelerated

JBT Marel’s SensorX development team, not resting on its past achievements, is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible to deliver value for customers. At a time when poultry processing continues to accelerate, with high-speed deboners, larger birds, and more product flowing into inspection, it is clear that capacity is crucial. That’s why JBT Marel now introduces Xpress, the advanced X-ray image-processing algorithm. With the new Xpress software integrated, SensorX is capable of handling higher conveyor speeds. This delivers up to 20% more capacity while maintaining accurate and consistent performance.

Most trusted

The Xpress software upgrade once again establishes SensorX as the most trusted bone inspection solution, providing the lowest rate of false positives, while keeping pace with today’s high-capacity processing lines. Of course, SensorX remains as user-friendly as ever, requiring straightforward operation and minimal maintenance. This gives poultry processors peace of mind, knowing they have the lowest risk in the industry of residual bones or other hard particles in their end products, while continuing to run high-speed lines as usual.

Retrofit

To safeguard customer investments and prolong the lifespan of existing machines, SensorX improvements are in principle designed to be compatible with earlier versions of SensorX. Xpress software is a standard feature included in every new SensorX device and is also available as a retrofit for SensorX 500 models. Processors who want to upgrade their SensorX 500 can contact their JBT Marel sales representative.
